At Oxford BioSystems we are committed to sustainability and responsible operations. From managing our own activities, to working closely with our suppliers, we aim to reduce environmental impact while continuing to provide reliable diagnostic products and services to teams in clinical and research laboratories across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
We are a Carbon Neutral Company
We’re proud to be certified carbon neutral through Carbon Neutral Britain. This certification confirms that our operational emissions have been measured, verified and offset through internationally recognised programmes, giving you confidence in the integrity of our continued commitment.

Carbon Offsetting Projects
Our carbon emissions are offset through projects chosen for their positive environmental and social impact. These projects are carefully selected to make a real difference for the environment and the communities affected.
- Wind Power in Maharashtra, India: generating clean energy while supporting local communities
- Blue Carbon Mangrove Restoration, Pakistan: restoring over 350,000 hectares of mangroves, protecting biodiversity and removing millions of tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere
- Orinoco River Basin Conservation and Reforestation: preserving forests, supporting local wildlife and improving community livelihoods
To celebrate our 25th Anniversary we found a fitting way to mark this important milestone by planting 25 trees ourselves in nearby Oxfordshire woodland!
Our Approach to Sustainability
We take a practical approach to sustainability across our operations:
- Responsible operations: Minimising waste, energy use and emissions across our UK and Ireland operations
- Supplier engagement: Working with our manufacturers to understand and encourage responsible production
- Continuous improvement: Regularly reviewing our processes to reduce environmental impact wherever possible
