Antibiotic Guardian

As an organisation, we will work to help develop a national action plan for our country on antimicrobial resistance in line with the global plan

Antibiotic Guardian

Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest threats facing us today.

Without effective antibiotics many routine treatments will become increasingly dangerous. Setting broken bones, basic operations, even chemotherapy and animal health all rely on access to antibiotics that work.

To slow the increasing rate of resistance we need to cut the unnecessary use of antibiotics.

Antibiotic Guardian was developed in 2014 by Public Health England. The campaign is led by Public Health England (PHE) in collaboration with the Devolved Administrations (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland); the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and professional bodies/ organisations towards the ‘One Health’ initiative.

Oxford Biosystems encourages all our colleagues and customers to pledge their own support in the global fight against antimicrobial resistance by visiting http://antibioticguardian.com
