Focus 3M™ Integrated Cycler
The Focus 3M™ Integrated Cycler is an award winning innovation in real time PCR instrumentation. With the Focus Simplexa™ molecular products this system is designed to provide rapid, reliable, clinically validated real time PCR results for quantitative, qualitative and multi-analyte detection.
A variety of sample types can be tested, including whole blood, swabs and faecal samples, often without the need for prior, time consuming DNA extraction.
The cycler has a small footprint (less than one square foot) but this is only part of the big picture...

Focus Simplexa™
Focus Diagnostics is committed to providing customers with an expanding menu of Simplexa™ assays for RNA and DNA.
The number of available CE marked kits is growing quickly and the new product pipeline promises several more in the coming months.
A wide range of primer pairs are also available with protocols for use on the Integrated Cycler. These assays are quickly and easily installed on the cycler and many do not require prior extraction of the samples.
Simplexa™ assays have been designed and validated to work with a variety of samples eg. Swabs, faecal material, whole blood, urine, CSF.

MutaGEL®: amplifi cation with subsequent classical gel-electrophoresis detection
MutaPLATE®/PLEX®: real-time PCR for open real time PCR instruments (e.g. RotorGene, SmartCycler, ABI, Stratagene, ECO, ExiCycler, LC480, etc.). The "PLEX"- version additionally includes an extraction control.
MutaREAL®/REX®: LightCycler® real time PCR instrument (versions 1.5 and 2.0). The "REX"- version additionally includes an extraction control.
MutaCHIP®: Chip-based combination of PCR with hybridisation-ELISA and subse- quent software-analysis: complete diagnostic panels are detected in a small self-suffi cient reader system (simple, cost-eff ective, comfortable) and reported with therapy recommendation for the doctor.
MutaCLEAN®: Extraction kits for nucleotide isolation of viral RNA / genomic DNA from clinical samples (e.g. blood, swabs, stool)
