Their hygiene monitoring tests provide laboratories, industry and authorities with an on-site means of detecting contamination by micro-organisms or protein residues and monitoring the effectiveness of cleaning and disinfection procedures at sites with strict hygiene requirements.
Hygicult is an agar slide method designed to allow reliable, economical and time-saving on-site microbial hygiene monitoring.
The hinged plastic slide is covered on both sides with agar medium. The slide is enclosed in an aseptic vial enabling transport to the test site and removing the need to send samples to the laboratory.
The slide is inoculated by direct contact with the surface to be tested, swabbing or dipping into a fluid. After incubation the density of microbial growth is compared visually with a model chart provided in the kit. If further testing of the organism(s) is required the slide can be resealed in the vial and transported safely to the laboratory.
For monitoring general hygiene status, supporting the growth of total bacteria as well as yeasts and moulds.
For detection of Enertobacteriaceae.
A 2 medium dipslide for the detection of Enterobacteriaceae and the presence of β-glucuronidase positive organisms.
For the detection of yeasts and moulds. Bacterial growth is prevented by antibiotics.
For the detection of coliform bacteria.

The Clean Card PRO is a new generation, wipe-and-read protein test for monitoring surface cleanliness and efficiency of cleaning and washing procedures without the need for additional reagents or instrumentation. Results are easily interpreted by eye with a model chart provided in each pack. Results have been shown to be comparable to the ATP method.
