Immunology
Oxford Biosystems Cadama (OBC) are proud to represent internationally recognised manufacturers of diagnostic kits and reagents for immunology in the UK and Ireland. Whilst our molecular biology products continue to push the boundaries when it comes to disease detection, our immunology products are aimed at the observation of how the body reacts to diseases affecting the body.
Our product portfolio includes an extensive range of specialised ELISA kits, EliSpot technology and a new point of care system for quantitative CRP testing.
Advances in the manufacture of EliSpot reagents, making them easy to use and more robust, have now brought this extremely sensitive technique into routine diagnostics. The introduction of Fluorospot kits allows evaluation of multiple cytokines or antibodies in a single well and automated EliSpot readers from AID Gmbh are available in a variety of flexible financial packages.
The assessment of the immune response to specific vaccination is useful in the assessment and monitoring of immune status and epidemiological studies. IBL International produce a range of ELISA kits for this purpose as well as a Neopterin ELISA kit for the investigation of cellular immune system activation.
We supply a comprehensive range of ELISA kits for the detection of a variety of immuno-modulators including cytokines, chemokines, cell adhesion molecules and apoptosis markers.
Cytokines, including chemokines, are the most studied mediators of inflammation as many are involved in acute and/or chronic inflammatory responses.
CRP is an acute phase protein which is often used as a marker for acute inflammation and tissue necrosis. We supply both a normal range and a high sensitivity ELISA kit as well as a quantitative point of care assay for CRP measurement.
EliSpot technology has been developed to provinde an Interferon gamma assay for the effective monitoring of transplant patients during immunosuppression and to determine various latent/chronic infections such as CMV, EBV and BK virus.
The measurement of Neopterin has a variety of clinical applications including the early detection of infection and monitoring of rejection mechanisms.
C4d is a marker for humoral rejection of transplantations, particularly kidney transplants. The purified antibody we supply has a variety of applications in immunohistology, flow cytometry and for the Luminex instrument.
The serological characterisation of autoimmune diseases is achieved by the detection of various autoantibodies or typical autoantibody profiles.
Our product range includes HEp-2 ANA slides, Immunoblots for ANA, AMA,ENA, anti liver autoantibodies, and a range of ELISA kits.
We also provide a range of ELISA’s to monitor antibody therapies (anti TNFα) for the treatment of certain autoimmune diseases.
We have various products available for Immunoglobulin and light chain assays.
